Another question is how can i change the line assistant color?
because when i am on motorway and sygic show me which line is the correct one i cant see the different. The correct one is light green. how can i change to red?

Somebody know something about the traffic app in europe

Thanks

I ran into the same problem. I fixed it by editing the application.skin file. Find the textline with laneHighColor in it. By default it uses the value "_c.sygicGreen" which is defined in the top part of this skin file. I tried updating the value of the sygicGreen declaration, but this had no impact at all (I do not know why though).

So I simply changed the value of laneHighColors to "_c.bgrMainCapion" which is kind of light blue. This seems to work for me. You could choose to change the value to "_c.sygicRed" to show red arrows.

Edited to give more detailled information ;)
Step by Step:
  • start xterm
  • sudo gainroot
  • cd /home/user/Mydocs/Res/skin
  • vi application.skin
  • type '/laneHighColor' (without the quotes, with the slash)
  • user the cursor to go to the color part within the double quotes
  • use the x to delete unwanted characters
  • type i
  • now insert mode is on, you can type the requested text. I used _c.bgrMainCaption. You could choose to use _c.sysgicRed
  • press esc on the screen
  • type ZZ
  • start sygic
  • happy driving :D

Hope this helps.

For the remaining miles value that decreases through a journey - does anyone know the location within the application.skin to change the font size?

@ceroberts75
Nice pics but you might want to edit out you imei number on first screenshot. There are alot of naughty people out there.

Anyone got any further with the default volume settings?
I've been having a play in the settings.ini and changed a few items that realate to vulume blindly such as
Volumefactor=2.0 changed to 5.0
With no effect. Bit stumped maybe im missing something. Does sygic use alsa as default?

Is there a good place to download (paid or free) POIs for entire regions? For example, every restaurant, hotel, gas station, business in the Pacific NW?

Something like this would make this application extremely useful. Currently it cannot even replace my old iphone for navigation since Google maps has the power of Google's online POI search..

I personally use POI Factory. Though the coverage depends on where members on the community contribute from.

if someone wants to take a look over at www.digital-car.co.uk

there is a massive thread on modding sygic it is for windows xp but most of it is relevant to this thread as it seems most versions of sygic are identical , the maps for the pc work with the one for the n900
