damn... i uninstalled the version i had to try and get 0.3.5 as i put the dpkg -i --force-depends /home/user/MyDocs/psx4all_0.3.5_armel.deb into xterm and it didnt work :(
how can i get the previous version back? cheers

u dont need to install an older version........just install the latest it works fine.

kev is the deb in n900 folder? i put the deb in home/user with gpe file manager and it worked for me. i installed 0.3.9 works great

Hi Smoku,

Does this imply that you can load Tekken 3 in PSX4ALL?

When I try to load this game, the emulator just exits back to the maemo desktop. If it's so and you can load this game, what settings are you using and what region of the game are you using? (JP, EU or US?)

i downloaded a version of psx4all and it was working fine and i got an update message for it to be updated it was saying that its missing packages.version 0.3.9.
so i thought the version i was using had some problem and uninstalled so i can reinstall latest but its the same thing and now i dont have a psx emulator.some advice will be helpfull??

p.s great work as usual. i donated some cash a few days ago via paypal,wasnt much but just to show some appreciation when i had the emu up an running.

great work, maybe you could edit ur 1st post with instructions on pulling the extra packages until 1.2 is released, it seems that every other post is about missing packages -_-

i appreciate the quick responce but to be honest i dont know a thing about using xterminal and dont want to mess around with it as of risk of messing up the device.

is there another way?
p.s why wont it install the way it did the first time through app manager in dev?

the missing files are from the new upcoming pr1.2 update, unless you have it wont install, so until you do installing through xterm is the only way. So its your choice really lol, ive installed it, and it works fine but pr1.2 is due anyday now so its entirely up to you.

tryed a couple of games... just dont seem to have any luck. both black screen! tryed changing around frame skip etc... dont really know what to do!

with n900 OC'd to 900mhz

i ran castlevania SOTN with cylce 10 and it ran near full speed, other games dont work for me, tekken 3 now and then.

its very early days tho.
ppl only just started doing it tonight...........;)

so possibly lots of spare stylii and other bits around soon! ;0)

mine's @ 800 and to be honest while the phone now seems lightning quick its made little difference in psx4all, but i've only tried tekken....

i think Lehto started around 2 days ago and he has been doing the most extensive Overclocking (constantly changing it) and so far he seems pretty alright, of course im going to hold off for a week or two (just got the phone :)) so i will be able to see if anything drastic has happened, it should really improve emulators though

tekken @800mhz runs about one third speed.

Because you are the only one that have an version 0.9.3.

Please check twice commands that you execute in terminal.
The N900 can't know what you want from him, if you give it not the right words. :)

Are you sure that the .deb file is in /home/user and not in /home/user/MyDocs ?

Please type ls and make sure you can find the file. :)

If not, make cd /home/user/MyDocs and try again.

Just rename the file to psx.deb it will be easier to type in xterminal

And as the post above you forgot the MyDocs part in the command, thats incase you copied the deb file via USB to the phone memory

edit: dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/psx.deb

take care of CAPITAL letters, its case sensitive

well wtf i was told to put the deb file in home/user? now your telling me it goes in MyDocs... i have both the deb files in user and in mydocs so thats not the issue, ive done the command im still getting the errors i have no clue what to do now im lost im doing everything i was told and read, i fixed up the errors i made in the command still no good

I downloaded the deb file from this thread via my n900 to my docs saved to downloads then i moved the file to home/user

Well make sure it is in /home/user using ls command: ls /home/user/*.deb

open xterm

root
dpkg -i --force-depends /home/user/MyDocs/psx.deb


(rename ur psx4all file to psx just makes it easier to write it in xterm, make sure you have root access)


easier to just save it in MyDocs as you can physically see it without using xterm to check or file manager

you can use your web browser as a file viewer
type as webpage url:
file:///home/user
