I discovered something about the mute sound function. It does actuelly mute some sound in games. An example is Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1, wich has some XA tracks with punk/rock songs playing when ever your in-game skating.

They Do Not play when i mute sound from psx4all gui... checked this many times, its 100% sure. Its only the sounds effects from skating around thats left.

Hope this helps you figure out whats wrong with mute sounds.

LOL Tekken3 is the reason I'm working on these emus at all.
But it works with built-in BIOS only. With real BIOS it does not start.

can you possibly implement BIOS settings in PSX4ALL GUI?? that would be cool. so then you can easily try games with either BIOS.....

ive installed 0.3.9, running great :)

only error ive noticed is that the 'return to launcher' key exits the emulator instead of goin back to launcher. is everyone else experiencing the same?

im with ronaldo on this tbh, but even if it plays all games playable then thats fine but it would be wounding if i HAD to oc to play it, but the way its looking i wont need to. also the idea of bios selector id like to see that soon, purely then i can work out the best bios for each game etc.

smoku would be fantastic if in the new relase implement these functions:

- Autofire (used in some games) .. Like Metal Gear Solid in the torture room =)
- If you fix the "return to launcher"
- If you add the button "resume emulation" in the launcher
- If you add the save/load config keys

These are just some advice :D ... you're doing a great job!!! congratulations ;)

ive just reflashed my n900, re-installed psx4all (by force) and set controls in settings menu, but only my backspace key works now??

also tried default keys... but nope

Make sure you have 0.3.9 installed. .7 and .8 have mapping bugs.

Not sure if anyone did this before me, but I compiled the source in the PR1.1.1 SDK as forcing an install causes problems with apt-get.

getting blank screens on the only game i got....

not fun.

it gets past diamond and PS logo, but gets stuck at the Gran Tourismo disclaimer...

anyone got the other BIOS on hand... see if that helps. currently running the 1001.bin file. thanks! :D

for me this app still closes instead of loading games? starting to think your all joking about this app working!
the debian version does the same,
never seen a ps logo or any sign of a game after months of trying with gta and coolboarders iso's

have you tried a different game just to test? and if your not getting the ps logo means your psx bios isnt loading so make sure scph1001.bin is in /home/user/MyDocs/ and its all lowercase like how ive typed it, the bios location was moved in the newer versions. Though i have memory card files in /home/user/ and its till picking them up so i think its just the bios location.

Can anyone please test this: None of my keys work when i'm loading game with out a bios...

Everything works fine with bios loaded, but wihtout it. The keys don't work. Tested both Tekken 3 and Tony Hawks 1...

some games only load properly when cycle is set to 1, if i set any higher then 2 on tekken 3 keyboard dont work

Anyone got GTA2 working? for me it loads ok and game runs good but cant see my character nor the cars, just flashed the 900mhz oc kernel and it improves psx4all speed quite a bit :)

then the game freezes at first screen where it says "Namco presents"

Exactly what I'm getting, running 0.3.9 with scph1001.bin BIOS and stock clocked N900.

Loads bios, diamond logo, PS logo, disclaimer and then seems to hang....

With an Overclock games like TonyHPS2 and NFS3 and a lot of other are playable..(Tested with 900 Mhz).
