My N900 is overclocked to 1Ghz. For true speed we need the app to take advantage of the GPU.

I don't really know where did that "OpenGL ES plugins from ZodTTD" idea came from.
1. PSX4ALL is not plugin based.
2. Even so, ZodTTD does not have OpenGL ES based GPU implementation.

I had got new PSX4ALL source with a lot of speed and compatibility improvements. It still uses software GPU emulation though.

I think that software GPU emulation is more then enough for now, most games will run at 20-30fps when even Tekken runs that good.

hey guys, excellent work may i add

can anyone explain why when i try to move the new bios to mydocs i keep getting permission denied, i have installed rootsh, and done the gain root command, says it is working but denies me access

20 frames is not playable though. I am wandering how did TG01 PS1 EMU runs so smoothly. It uses the cpu rendering right? i really hope smoku comes up with some hardware acceleration and make use of gpu.

What the hell are you trying to do? MyDocs is the main folder that shows up when you plug it into a computer... just drop it in.

how much of a noob do i look now?! i was reading something earlier on in the post about using terminal to move the file, must have got confused somewhere along the lines. Teach me for scanning and not reading through

Well for some reason my FF7 will just not run correctly, tried different settings and im getting around 7 fps, using the 850mhz overclock aswel

Any ideas?

ascottuk this is my config(with scph1001 bios - important and overclocked 900mhz) and FF7 work nearly full speed without crashes:
Show Gpu - off
Display Video Memory - off
NULL GPU - on
Interlace - 0
Cycle mltiplalier - 4 or 5
All frameskips off except Blit

ps
Someone posted the same config here :) So use the search button next time.

Smoku, thanks for taking the time to work on this. The video shows good progress. I'm a little bummed that there was some confusion about the possibility of hardware acceleration from ZodTTD's code. I think a few of us like zehjotkah though we could get that on the N900. Oh well. Still looking forward to the next release!

I can take some of the blame to myself.
I mentioned, that there is an OpenGL 2 GPU plugin for PCSX, which could be ported to PSX4ALL easily.
You did a great job of nagging ZodTTD for releasing new PSX4ALL sources, so you may try convincing Pete Bernert to release his XGL2 Linux PSX GPU plugin source. :D

Hell even nagging him to work with smoku to get a version compiled for the N900 would work, though source is better.

I got Gran Turismo running at about 20-30 fps in simulation mode, just a little too slow to be playable, but great progress here!
