i tried latest version psx4m 0,43-5 and psx4m-gui 0.4 and full screen suported now and full speed and you can play with ps3 gamepad yes . it is perfect . all games run full speed . only rare namco games tekken 3 and tekken 1 for example run more slow that others games. i am very happy . n900 950mhz and cylcle 3-4 and frameskip 8 it will run well all games.

ive got psx4m 0.4.5 and psx4m-gui 0.3 installed
working great already in full screen

will there be any difference if i install psx4m-gui 0.4 ?

uninstall gui 0.3 and install gui 0.4 , gui 0.4 better , speed.

thanks bonapart , now psx4m are the best emulator psx in maemo .

more better than psx4droid 1.7 in nitdroid.

fullscreen switch
state slot selectors
frameskip selectors fixed(in 0.3 they doesn't work)
psx4m-gui is exit after starting psx4m(for decrease cpu\ram usage)
some small visual changes
so it's you choose to update to psx4m-gui 0.4 or not

Great update, thanks. I've got Resident 1, 2 and 3 working on my N900. Sound effects and music is fine, however the sound for the fmv's and speech from characters is muffled and distorted. I presume this is the same for most games.

The fullscreen option is a great feature.

the progress with this has been pretty impressive over the past few months which is awsome! I've been hopeing that I cud put my game gripper to sum gud use and now its possible! lol!

I have a couple of nooby questions though! sorry! lol!
1. im running at oc 950mhz and just wondering what you guys think is the best config for this.
2. mgs freezes after konami screen just goes black... any advice on this??
3. i know its old school but iv been tryin t get heart of darkness to work n that just freezes after the first fmv which i wudnt expect coz the the graphics arent particularly great and i know my iso is sound coz it works on my pc...any advice on this also??
4. a bit off topic but is there any way to remap the volume buttons to use as L and R 1?? iv got shortcutd and using cam key as backspace so thats an extra button. dunno if this has been asked before but google is no help! lol! any ideas with this?

atm got my frameskip at 4 and cm at 7 lol. ff7 + 8 run ok but fmv's r extreamly fast! iv got net yaroze demos working pretty sweet aswell! (old favourite)

I always refrain from asking questions here coz know you guys must get sick of it but hope u cn help!

I cant seem to install the new GUI, it says that the file is corrupted. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the GUI and the app but still says its corrupt.

Edit: Fixed by downloading from a direct link instead of through app manager.

Nokia Sans is the font I am using. Easy to set up using Theme Customizer.

Managed to install it by downloading from a direct link instead of the app manager. If only I looked 2 pages back instead of 1 hehe.

Edit: I load it up and it says fatal error, check permission of file /home/opt/psx4m/keys.

Edit2: Finally got it working, thanks for the help :D

Try to switch off cyclemulti completely. Works for warcraft2, which freezes when you have CM on.

Like above. If it doesn't work after this I think it'll not work :p .

Ok, yesterdey I tried to install the new gui...and I got an error message, something like: you need libqt4-core (>= 4.7.0~git20100909-0maemo1+0m5)
So I tried to install libqt4 through apt-get, and after a few tries it began to download lots of things.
Finally I installed the gui, and now I can open it, configure my keys and play the games (but for now I think it is slowler than the previous version).
The thing is that now I can't play with mupen64plus :S I don't know why. I mean, I can open the emulator and chose a game...but when I press start, the emulator stops working and closes the window. The games just don't work.
I would prefer not to flash the phone -.- I have lots of things in it, but I like to play my N64 games too. Any help? I don't know what to do, I've already uninstalled the mupen64plus and downloaded it again...and same result.

I did, mupen64 is now in the last version...and nothing happens.
I think it is some kind of conflict between packages :S is it possible?
By the way, thanks for the efford and I think you did a great work with this gui ;)

Just got the new versionof the gui (via app man) which now installs fine - both are working fine for me on PR1.3, power kernel, swappolube....

Also, has the resolution been reduced?

friends, in final fantasy 8 wan i go to world map, fps and animation not working... but in anaver locations animation and fps working !!! i traet all bios's problem but problem no go away!

hello all people have that try mortal kombat 4 game run ultra-very fast . incredible with n900 950cpu cycle 3 frameskip 8 run ultra fast this game

Bonapart can you create a new gui 0.5 with two players in key config? if it is not possible . ok . it will be more better .

psx4m doesn't support second player in core, it's removed for better speed i guess.

I got the same thing in the GUI, but games run just fine from xterm. Try this in the GUI (it works for me) Don't select the ROM you want and hit the Start button. instead select File -> Open ROM.

Now select your ROM in the pop up window and it should play.

where x is word (gui use 6 numbers), others options you can read by -help switch
