I hate to say this, but this isn't a firmware issue. If the phone is spontaneously rebooting even after a fresh reflash, it's a hardware problem, and a new firmware won't help.

I'd recommend you get an RMA # and have the phone repaired/replaced.

Now like everyone, I certainly can agree with you on the media player sucking hugely. :D
