& I'm guessing the GPU is a Broadcom BCM2727
http://www.broadcom.com/press/release.php?id=1057720

Seems to match the specs listed for the N8, plus some website mentioned about the GPU being a Broadcom unit.

That Broadcom GPU does 32 Million Polygons a second!!!! That beats the The Cortex A8 used in the N900 AND iPhone 3GS when comparing polygons per second.

*Remembers when Sega's Model 3 arcade board was the stuff of legends...*

Thanks for the heads up.

I must wonder why nokia didn't go with the cortex a8. I'm sure the price difference between that and arm 11 is almost negligible.

Probably the most disappointing aspect of this phone will be the paltry 1200 mah battery this thing is packing. It looks like it has some beast hardware but it has an even smaller, non removable battery compared to the N900!

It btw uses Li-Poly battery and at least the times they are quoting are really good.
N8 got USB-OTG that i surely wasn't waiting from it.

Well I am just guessing, but as it uses an Arm 11 (instead of the Arm Cortex-A8) and an AMOLED screen, that is "only" 640 x 360; these are all lower power consumption wise compared to say the N900, therefore in Nokia's opinion doesn't need a higher capacity battery

It has interesting compatibility list. Korean sausage makers must be worried. :)

"Also for:

* Apple iPhone
* Apple iPhone 3G
* Apple iPhone 3GS
* BlackBerry 9500
* HTC G1 Google
* HTC Hero A6262
* HTC Magic
* LG GC 900
* LG KF900
* LG KM900 Arena

and other compatible capacitive touch phones and devices.
"

Tip seems to be very wide like in other capacitive styluses. Not sure if it's usefull for anything besides written text input.

the way i read this chart, it says "launch in the 1st week of june, the week starting with may 31st"

that's why i don't believe it's valid. maybe this was the original plan - we know symbian^3 is delayed.
