Flashing to glbal FW on win7 64

So has anybody actually succeeded in flashing their N900 FW with win7 64bit or is it still not possible?

I tried successless - fortunately still have Vista installed on a different partition.

AFAIK, it's not possible on a native Win7 64bit machine because there is no driver for the N900 that can run on these specs.

But it's possible to use the virtual XP Mode for flashing the device.

I have an old laptop laying around that runs XP. Think it's safe to use that to reflash?
EDIT reflashed with old laptop works great :D

I couldn't reflash my N900 on Windows 7 64 bit either, went back to my installation of Vista on a separate partition and that failed too so I downloaded the Ubuntu Live CD and did it that way. Was reflashed and ready to go in a bout 5 minutes after that...
