Pulse for Blackberry DUN
Has anyone try this software yet? It's supposed to enable Dial up networking using bluetooth on many models of the Blackberry. I'm particularly interested in the 7250 provided by Bell Canada.

Re: Pulse for Blackberry DUN
OK, I'm going to answer my own question. Just tried it today at the office...no, it doesn't work with the BB 7250. Can't seem to connect to it even with Pulse loaded. Also, the set up for the Pulse dialup requires a string of alpha characters in the "dial up number" field which the N800's connections setup box doesn't allow.

Look here I posted about this a few days ago...

Re: Pulse for Blackberry DUN
Thanks for the info.
I'll put up with the USB cable connected to my laptop and using the Voyager software but would really like for it to work with the N800. That would mean the ultimate set-up for me. I'm not willing to switch to another phone because the BB works so well. |
Re: Pulse for Blackberry DUN
I am at the point where I am going to throw my 8700g and 7520 to the bayou behind my house!!!! I wish there was a solution... :(

Re: Pulse for Blackberry DUN
I know how you feel!
I'm just hoping that the new Blackberry 8800 might support this? Do you know if it does? |
Re: Pulse for Blackberry DUN
I use my n800 with my Blackberry 8800 with no additional software. Works like a champ. Kinda slow, but considering it is edge....

Re: Pulse for Blackberry DUN
Wow, that's great news! Now I have to sit and wait for my carrier to offer the 8800.
In the mean time, I found another modem software. However, I can't try it because I don't have mds enabled on my bb. http://www.mobishark.com/home.htm |

Provider? TIA! |
Re: Pulse for Blackberry DUN
All I did was add it as a phone, then selected it from the choose connections. Just worked. I will try it with my 8700 and a buddies pearl when I get in to work later. I will post my results.

Re: Pulse for Blackberry DUN
Ok so I tried to connect with the 8100. No go. So looking a little closer under bluetooth:options:services on the 8100 I have the following listed:
Headset HandsFree Desktop Connectivity Wireless Bypass On the 8800 I have that plus Dial-Up Networking. Haven't looked at the 8700 yet. If there are any cingular phones you want me to check just let know... |
