Editor porting request
I was wondering if some coder would be so nice and willing to port the popular 'nano' editor for the N900, as I am not very familiar with VIM, would be very handy be able to use nano in the terminal to edit stuff.

Re: Editor porting request
Nano is available in Fremantle tools repository http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/...5#Installation

Re: Editor porting request
I'd like to see the old Scite ports updated for Maemo 5.

Re: Editor porting request
Please note that installing the Tools repo on-device is generally not advised, although I haven't personally had issues. You probably should disable it after installing nano.

Re: Editor porting request
I installed the tools repo so I could install traceroute, I didn't have any problems although it told me that the traceroute package was non-authorized or something like that. Of course I disabled it when I was done.

Re: Editor porting request
Scite can be quickly installed if you have easy debian. Works well.

Re: Editor porting request
Ah good idea. I'd prefer to run it natively but this can work for now.
