Wow! So you must be working either in Nokia or in some tablet magazine or something. Just wondering, if you test "hundreds" of tablets, what are you actually testing? If you test one, you've seen them all, no? Unless you work in some kind of repair shop and then thousands is a very bad number. :rolleyes: (moderator, can you please plit off this thread). (ah, and this is not cynical ment. I'm really wondering this.)

Hehe, if my boss knew how much i was browsing this forum during working hours, he would fire me instantly. You haven't seen too many questions yet? That's because i SEARCH for forums and ASK Mr. Google first before i post a message.
I had all kinds of cool plans of running the OS off the memory card to be bigger, better and faster, but so far i'm just struggling to keep the device going. :(

And my remark about "countering your post" was not meant to be an attack of any sort so I apologize for putting you on the defensive. It's not that you said something "wrong",; I was again just pointing out the error in presumption.

You'll find that broad statements indicting something like the N800 will elicit rebukes from less civil sorts which is why I replied as I did. It's far better, IMO, to stick specifically to the issue and post as many critical details as you can, while avoiding generalizations, if you're looking for true troubleshooting. Otherwise, the request comes off more as a rant and that just leads to fraying threads. ;)

All that aside, I won't go too deeply into my involvement with the device (gotta leave a tiny amount of mystery) but suffice to say I've been reponsible for some really hardcore, thorough testing. That has enabled me to state with a high degree of confidence that your experience is not the norm, and there must be special cause involved. That could range from a unique hardware fault to a battery problem (not too uncommon) to software conflicts, etc. The more relevant info you can provide on your experience, the faster and more accurately the good folks here can help you.

maybe you've got a faulty unit? you could always swap it out with another one if this one is giving you so much trouble.

I'm thinking about reflashing it and start all over again... :-(
