You can do all this by using one of titans kernals, see the overclocking wiki, it will explain everything you need to know, im currently using the "ideal" kernel with min of 500mhz and max set at 1000mhz but all the other kernals range from 125-1200, although they start at default 250-600 (i believe) untill you set the frequency you want.
Hope this helps :)

Link? i'm on N900

Can anyone else confirm my expirience?

Yesterday i tested the 700mhz kernel and the battery drain wasnt that good anymore. 10% Battery in 9 hours and the discharche line wasnt so flat .

So i again took 825mhz Kernel Fiasco Image
http://www.farahfa.com/n900-custom-k...ction=download
and the discharge line es very very flat again.

I have 800-125 kernel and I see a VERY big improvement in standby battery performance. I think nokia introduced a bug in the latest firmware that reduces standby time alot and somehow lethos kernel fixes that. Or maybe it's just the extra underclocking at work.

i dont know, where the great improvement comes from.
it should be examined, because my n900 now seems to have a better standby time than all my previous phones together.

Did you also disable wifi completely with wifi switcher? thes helps a lot.

Hmm, just a quick question, did you use an LV, ULV or XLV kernel for the 825 test? either that, or the idling is quite good on those kernels, and any work it would need to know would go through quick enough to revert back to idlie quicker. Will try it out soon.

hi @adalal,

i took the 825 from the link i posted.
I asked the developer about the voltage. He said ,that it is normal voltage, no ULV.He also dont know why the battery drain of the 700mhz kernel is not as good as the 825 mhz one.

I had no problems or instability (stuttering) with the 125 idle state.
Its perfect :-)

Today i will try the 800 mhz.

Hm.. when I'm lucky I get 6-7 hours standby with 3G-connected (sipgate and skype), 30mins mailcheckinterval (imap) and hourly mfe-sync (and bluetooth on without connections)... using the same kernel.
Something is very weird. Either at mine or your phone.

@miwalter,
do you also use the wifi switcher to turn off wifi hardware?
wifi uses a lot of energy even if not connected as it scans for available networks.

AND:
i only get the good discarge values wenn idlie, without any internet network connected.(only 3g for phone)

No I did not. But I raised the scan-interval to 30min.

Ah. I thought by 3g you meant connected...
