Excellent!
I have not updated for quite some time.
Does the new Jay-C kernel have overclocking like the old eyes one (v4)?
Sorry - I've been around and looking, but not "here" as such.

I don't like doing work ON the N900.

Just install SSH on the N900, put it on your home network using WiFi and simply use a terminal (e.g. Putty) to SSH on to it. Then you can use your large PC screen and keyboard. Much easier! ;)

Nah. All too much effort. The "old" way of USB port (or SD > Usb) and just slap away on a Linux box is much easier for me.
It's all good, I'll get back into it again and start fresh :)
Thank you!

OK, finally took the plunge and installed latest version using dj_steves guide. thanks guys great work here.!

(managed to fix my sd by connecting N900 via mass storage, and deleting partitions in windows disk management.)

couple of things puzzling me now.

1) i thought it supported overclocking? or do i now need to reinstall titans kernel? as i have 3 queen beecon widgets for overclocking maemo, that no longer work. im assuming its just runing default kernel now? or, is it possible to add titans kernel to the bootmenu? id prefer it to always use tittans kernel for power users.

2) will there be an upgrade guide for future releases? or do i just wipe the partitons off the sd and start all over again?

3) if i press the power button in nitdroid, the backlight goes off. but screen is still active. is there a way to put into "standby" as it were?

cheers
®

It should be in bootmenu already. For me it is number 2 (kernel-power or something).

1. like TNiga said, option 2, the one with Power37. for now only overclocking in Maemo, not in Android.
2. previously i was able to upgrade by just overwriting the partition with the new files, this time it gave an error. If next time theres no new version of multiboot, all you would have to do is mount the partition to /and, change to the dir, rm -rf *, and unpack the new release.
3. perhaps in an upcoming release, but i'm experiencing the same thing as you.

okay, hello all, i was away for a while and i just installed the earlier NiTDroid build. All i can say is that it was very simple and fast ^^ but i have to say that it is very slow compared to eclair's build =S
and as already mentionned i think we can't mount the eMMC for now... but hey, good point for me as before android wouldn't even recognise it lool

and last thing : is there a way to re-map the keys ? i mean as i've a german keyboard on it, it is "qwertz" and not "qwerty" ... so i'd love to help you with the globalisation of keyboards ;)
