Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
Thanks for the files dj_steve.
You have made good progress already. Charging to 100% with original kernel before playing around with it again. |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
I can't wait to have android on my phone, I plan to install it as soon as wifi works!
How did you guys get games on the phone without wifi? great work Dj steve! btw I wanted to ask, would you guys think it would run faster with a class 6 micro sd, or is it capped somewhere and wouldn't matter? |

I personally plan to install it when either wifi or gsm/umts data works. You can always transfere files via usb, or copy them over within maemo then use them in android, but it wont matter afaik, as there is something with activation or something that does it so that you are in need of wifi or gsm/umts data to install applications (please correct me if im wrong) If you have a faster card then the files you use will transfere faster over to the ram, but if you dont have a really slow card now i doubt you would be able to tell much of a difference in a blind test. |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
re installing apps:
use adb or maemo to drop the apps files into /system/app and android will install them itself for you - it always monitors that folder |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
yeap i can confirm this ;) adb ?? what's that lol
and you are right, i am experiencing crashes xD but hey ! when wifi or gsm will work, we'll have the android market and gapps working ! :P oh an other thing weird, after copying the complete app folder of 2 different builds (made for nexus 1, i'll tell you which one) and then copying the one of your build (to be sure that the build would still work :D i got the first run android home screen, but running in portrait mode ! EDIT : Roms are : Kang-o-rama 0.7b1 and Enomther's TheOfficial Nexus1 got them from xda ;) |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
yea the protrait mode can be forced depending on app (try the phone app on my build for example) and adb is the 'android debug bridge' only useful if you have linux or a decent understanding of, its basicly a usb tethered shell session tothe device
