Nice commersial. And first thing that happens after clicking the link is that a german (?) forum asks you to login to view the thread.

im sorry i didnt know people needed to login to see that thread, must be because i am the admin.

Atleast this is how it will look when finished ill post the link to direct download when its available.

http://www.eurosc.nl/n900/flash.jpg

Its a small programmed dos program where you can just typ a number after wich the program automatically runs the selected flash and starts reflashing the n900.

Ill request a english translation when its finished

Sorry I had written more but it didnt show?

I meant to add that he is blatently just trying to promote his forum if he is the admin there. Im sure this could be in the overclock thread anyway.

I dont really understand the point in a dos porgram to do this anyway as its relitively simple enough to swap kernals.

it'd be cool to clock up/down on the go I reckon.

that can be done with a kernel update and very simple xterm commands.

it can be done otherways also, i have a couple of icons using queen beecon, one to overclock to 1gig and another to clock back to "safe values"

ok,
i'm new to all this myself, the way i got it to work was set up a queen beecon snippet with command
Code:

echo "start kernel-maemo" | sudo gainroot
this runs the default kernal setting so sets my clock to 850 and min clock to 500. (after calls the clock is set to 250 so this gets round that easily too)
i guess it depends on what kernel you are using and what the defaults are.

i'm sure there is a more elegant way to do it, but this works for me! ;0)

agreed with maki43 - it's just a batch file to run the flasher command. It would be useful if you could build this to run on the phone itself.

not only does something like this already exist for on-device flashing
http://www.maemoitalia.com/overclock...da-x-terminal/
but with the kernel-flasher-maemo kernel you can you select the frequencies you want without permanent reflashing.

Wicked, cheers mate, im on the xlv kernel so should set to 250-600. Id also like to set up a widget to give me ideal settings, but this is the important one for now.
