volume keys not working
 

my volume keys are not working in any application(music, maps etc) neither on desktop.i dnt remember what application i installed that couldve cause this, any suggestions? thank u.

Turn off, take battery off, put it back and restart. Is it still doing it?

try to remove programs, but i´m bit afraid that next thing you have to do is flash it.

hmm here is the thing to do:
- start xterminal
- run command dmesg (it basically shows what is going on you phone, it should probably show in last line: "slide is now open")
- minimize window(top left)
- press volume rocker couple of times
- go to back xterminal window and run dmesg command again
- if system regonized volume rocker pressing it should now show: cam_focus is now active

You can also test volume keys in camera, it should zoom.

keys are zooming in camera and in xterminal
tried wt u said didnt show cam_focus
tried making a call and it was shown in dmesg

i can zoom in camera and web browser but i cant adjust volume

I had that less than a month ago, after a lot of narrowing down I found out it was either modified-hildon-desktop or keyboard-shortcuts (they depend on each other anyways)
Uninstall them, reboot and try again.

i uninstalled actman desktop activity manager and the problem was solved :)

Uhh, ok let me try modified-hildon-desktop again, I might have uninstalled all 3.

Edit: ok, installed them and they don't seem to be doing anything wrong to the keys

i uninstalled actman desktop activity manager and keyboard shortcuts,didnt find modified-hildon in app manager....keys still now working:confused:

This happened to me a couple minutes ago. I installed Powatool and disabled one of the profiles thing in the status bar editor, as soon as I enabled it back, the volume was working again.

Is "Tethering monitor" / tethermon installed?

I have the same problem and I don't know which app causes it. I don't have tha programs you mentioned here.

I've finally after uninstalling many apps managed to fix it. But unfortunately it wasn't a newly installed app which caused this. It was the app I have on my device for long time - Tweakr. I forgot that I changed the option connected with camera lens cover. When I set it to default and restart the device, everything works OK.

yeah it used to work i had that problem a while ago
it was caused by some app try removing ur last installed apps
i think it was swipe count or something
