Just completed the survey. Hopefully the survey will make the next update/ next phone by Nokia better than the beast.

that was a long survey, but I liked it. it asked good questions. but one thing that made me go "WTF?" was the top picture for the performance question.. check it out

I took the survey and was actually quite interesting.

The more people that complete the survey then hopefully Nokia will reward us with a new device we'll be happy with.

BTW: There is a little section towards the end where you can input some text to Nokia.
I strongly suggest you also ask "WTF is with the penguins with freakin' laser beams shooting out their eyes?"

I was super happy to see the survey- to say how much I really do like my n900, except for the battery :(. After charging all night, it needed charging again after a Skype call. So I took the survey on my new iPad, or at least tried to. Now I need an iPad survey ;).

First survey with relevant questions and if they evaluate it properly, I hope it will help a lot! But still I think N900 is best device ever!

Ok done!

Be prepared to take at least 30 mins out to do this survey properly but it is so very important to complete this. This is our official way of communicating with Nokia directly about the N900 and you can be sure that these statistics will be looked at carefully. Things like this are used to make potentially enormous business decisions so be pretty honest and as complete as possible when conducting the survey.

People, don't want to be the one who chills our excitement, but this survey might be Nokia's way of improving the launch of their next device, not necessarily checking what can be improved for an already launched device (in parenthetical clause, I want them to use it for the N900 experience improvement as well as anyone else).

Anyway, looks like the N900's target audience are a very good survey takers :)

However I found a bug :p Survey asks about previous tablet devices , like N800 and N810 without answer "none" :cool: I never owned any of those but put N810 , sorry Nokia :rolleyes:

Yes, the survey is long, very detailed... I just hope it was intended to improve N900 and result in real actions

I can't avoid to wonder if the survey purpose could be an input to improve Meego user interface and the future devices... what would be a waste of our time, unless Nokia eventually brings Meego to N900. Let's wait and see!!

Agreed, let's now spread the news about this survey.

In the past I tried to complain about the uncertainty of Maemo/Meego and lack with Ovi Maps on this forum, and some people like @qgil clarified that talk.maemo.org is not supposed to be a Customer Care Channel.

Now Nokia is giving us the opportunity to register our complains and worries in a proper way. As I said before just time will tell if this survey will result in concrete actions, but it certainly won't if just a few answer it.

It is a long survey, I know... but I am sure it will take much less time that we already spent speculations and complaining on this forum!! :cool:

I think subjects like Maemo future with Meego announcement is more important thinking about the long-term, but even so I also think PR1.2 is taking too long, no matter it is delayed or on schedule from the Nokia initial planned date for launching.

nearly done :( I was doing it on my N900 and was just filling the other comments part, I was taking quite a while as I kept thinking of more things to put. when the page froze. Tried to reload but was sent back to the start. Grrrrr :( Try again tomorrow.

Nokia is purposely delaying PR1.2 so early adopters like us can learn a most needed skill: patience!! They were always thinking about Client mental health, we just didn't realized it! :D

Don't remember the exact text of the questions, but I was asked both of these questions twice.

- How frequently do you play PC/Video games?

- How frequently do you hang out with group of friends?

Now what is this? Is Nokia trying to profile me as a geek? :rolleyes:

you have to click the "next" button twice sometmes... i did it 3 times on one page. since you submit the data at the end, I don't think it makes for duplicate data, it just overwrites your previous submission for that page.

I wrote a system similar to that a couple years back.
