Help: Problem whilst typing messages
 

Hello everyone,

I tried to find a similar Thread, but I couldn't find one.
I have a problem since a few days now, while typing with the keyboard the N900 is not suggesting any words any more whilst typing, neither can I press shift or the blue arrow and next another key to get a capital letter or a symbol. Instead I have to press them together at the same time.
Here is a picture (sorry it's in German) which shows that I activated all the functions I would like to use, but it is not working.

I have installed some MSCIM files, because I wanted to try to type Japanese characters, but I couldn't figure out how to. After that I deinstalled them. Next my above mentioned problems occurred.
Sorry if my Engish is a bit hard to understand.

I hope you a can help me with a solution.

I realise I'm not adding anything, or helping (sorry), but my N900 started doing this last week too. I hadn't installed any software or upgraded any. The strange thing is, it fixed itself a few days ago and is working normally.

I still have no idea what the problem was. I don't remember for certain, but it might have been helped by rebooting, though I didn't reboot to fix this problem (the phone was getting sluggish).

Has nobody a possible solution? It's really unpleasant situation, because typing messages is not as comfortable as befor.
I would really appreciate your help.

You could try to search the forum for resetting dictionary, I remember a thread about emptying/deleting it because it kept suggesting passwords. Once located, reset the dictionary, maybe a bad entry keeps it from suggesting.

As for holding keys together I have no clue. Maybe you have a stuck key? If you double-tap the arrow, do you get a yellow notification that Fn is locked? If it works it might be a temporary relief.

Also, the lock never worked in browser - maybe it's in background and interfering? I'm basically just shooting in the dark at this point.

Thank you very much! I will try to find the dictionary, and replace the one I'm using at the moment.
I don't get a notification, when I double click the arrow. It really not so nice.

Ok, I tried to find something in the forum, but I failed badly. If somebody has a solution for my problem, I would be very happy.

Thank you. I just checked and there are no such files at all in that folder. Could some maybe send me the default ones?

My Fn locks does no work as i have the same problem auto word complete don’t work at all.. Also lost virtual keyboard too i have done factory reset that did not help PLZ can somebody help...
