Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
Glad many of you could jump on the CompUSA closings. Unfortunately (or fortunately since it's the only CompUSA around) my local store is staying open so I'm out of luck. Mine never even has them in stock!

Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
i've been to 3 of them in my area (dc metro) and they didn't have any n800s :(

Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
$279 US??????? You guys in the USA are so lucky... in Canada NO RETAIL store sells the Nokia N800... Tiger Direct Canada did for like 1 week when I was broke but not since... so I had to go on eBay and pay $385 + $30 shipping = $415 US total... but atleast it was unopened with a seal on it and so far not 1 problem with it... I would have gone as high as $500 US for one though.

Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
Got one today at CompUSA for $279 thanks to this thread. I never would've even known there was a store closing nearby. Thanks all!!
There was 1 left in North Attleboro Mass as of this afternoon. It had been open but still had the stock screen guard and everything looked mint. They wouldn't give any extra discount for being opened. They also had a couple of 770s |
Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
Microcenter Houston 12.99 2 GIG SD card..
Note to all that the regular price is 15.99 whis still not bad at all but for you to get the 12.99 price you need a cupon... I didnt know this untill I went to pay and some guy approche me out of no where in the cash register line and say... "Here.... This cupon might help you" I looked at it and it was a cupon to get the card at 12.99 I imediatle thank the guy many times! So be ware you need that cupon... I think you can get it at the Microcenter site... Not sure though.. |
Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
And here's the issue with buying from one of these closing stores...they won't exchange it. Last night, out of the blue, my new N800 could no longer see the WiFi connections. I reflashed with other problems, but still no WiFi. I'm calling Nokia tomorrow. The closing CompUSA store told me not to bring it back to them. Hmmm...I wonder if a non closing store might exchange it. Left a message in the troubleshooting area to see if there was anything else I could try.

Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
The comp usa cost on this device is about $322.00. This is what I was told from a manger from one of the stores.

Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
So $280 is a steal, and you will probably never see it this low at any online store. You still have the Nokia warranty when buying from one of the closing stores, so I don't see an issue when buying it there.

If you go to a closing compUSA make sure to have them RING it up at the register. They keep on telling me this too until I MADE them scan it. Which comes out 279. Hope you get yours before it runs out. Most of them don't care about making a sale. |
Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
The one I went to only had 2 left (after I bought mine), I would be willing to help out other itT members by buying the last 2 if they still have them, and shipping them out to them, I don't want to make any money out of the deal...just pay receipt price ($304.something + shipping to you). I'll see if the other store in my area has them still as well...let me know in the forum, since I rarely check my PMs.

Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
Checked out the 2 closing stores in the Portland Oregon area (Clackamas & Airport Way). No N800s. (I had each do a SKU search). One demo 770 apiece. Clackamas was asking $315. Airport Way $209. No boxes, accessories or manuals.

Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
If you are in St. Louis I have one new in an un-opened box for $340. I am getting rid of an extra one. You can see my receipt that I am not making any money.
For those not in St. Louis, we may be able to work something out via paypal. Send me a private message if you are interested. I will post to ebay soon if I do not hear anything. Thanks, Jim |

Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
In any event, they bought them from Nokia. :)
I bet Nokia is happy. It's got to skew user projections a bit with more units now on the street than expected. Do you think they will step up a little more than they have been? I looked at that dang Tableteer site again last night. No new content since January. ...except maybe more hype about it being a site "tailor made to enhance the N800 user's experience" Nice pointer to ITT though. :) |
Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
Pfft, I went the day after I posted, and the 2 were gone...that blows.
One thing I found funny was the N800 was $280+tax...so the the 770....didn't make sense. |
Re: CompUSA Clearance Sale
Hello,
I'm motorman, I'm a new member of this forum, and this my first post. I Bought an n800 at CompUSA 2 weeks ago for 30% off. I enjoy the tablet and look forward to being a part of this forum. -mm |
