Re: Telescope: Application Manager Tool

How often do you get these black frames? is there any reproducable way to catch the bug?

I will make testing build of telescope with small delay included if you would be so kind to test it. Because unfortunately (or fortunately?) can not reproduce this.

About 25-75% of the times I want to reproduce it, I guess. I think it depends on how much virtual memory has been used; today, after a fresh reboot, it is harder to reproduce than yesterday, after a whole day of intensive usage.
It happens while playing a video, usually when the mediaplayer has been just started, or pressing F5 just after changing the mediaplayer fullscreen state.

Of course, thank you very much :-)
Just PM me when you want.

Hi, maacruz, could you please test attached binary? Place it in /usr/bin/ instead existing one.
I have added 0.1s delay between showing telescope window and minimizing mediaplayer
Thanks

Thanks for Telescope, Mitrandir.

The only problem I find is with Liqbase. Have you tried switching applications while Liqbase is running?

Excellent!!!
I tryed a hundred times and couldn't reproduce the bug.
To be sure, I went back to 0.2.7.2 and the bug reproduced easily.

maacruz, Great, Thanks!! I didn't expected that it would work with the first try :) Will be included in next release.

alephito, yes, i have heard about problems with liqbase (even accident reboots). But i have not tried by myself yet :( Posted a ticket in bugtracker, will try it tomorrow.

Telescope 0.2.7.3
Small fixes: 0.1sec hack for mediaplayer, fixed loading of keybindings which are remapped using xkb config files.

when you switch back to mplayer though, all you see is a black screen with audio, and the only resolution appears to be quitting playback, and then relaunching from the mplayer GUI.

Press twice the fullscreen button.
It works for me (it always did).
@Mitrandir
Thinking of this, how about a similar workaround like the one for osso mediaplayer?
When selecting the mplayer window in telescope, could be possible switch to it and then send it two fullscreen events, simulating the two keypresses?

Hey everyone,

I said a while ago that I was going to work on a program launcher to go with telescope. I wanted to say that I have stopped development on it. I may continue in the future, but not too soon. I just wanted to put that out there in case somebody was waiting for it.

Hey mrlanrat,
It is a sad that you stopped developing, but I hope your work will help Mitrandir to make the nice application menu for Telescope.
