... And a colorized version (manually in MyPaint, using dyed charcoal straight over previous image):

BTW, there is funny story behind this image. It started just as "realistic" drawing on the left, but, my touchscreen is damaged a little, and contorous of windows on right side of building (right side of screen) got fuzzy in result. I'm not used to "undo" command, and I instantly got impression, that it looks like building slowly desintegrate into a dream-like shape on right side (the more to the right, the more fuziness), and decided to follow this inspiration.

It's also inspired by Neil's Gaiman Sandman, volume "Worlds End", and particular tale about man inside city's dream. Following all of the above, I used natural drawing on left, "realistic" side - keeping strict to what I could achieve with real charcoal - but, on the right side, I messed with mixing fuziness and swapping into extensive details made by ultra-thin charcoal and huge zoom, a mix that would be unachievable in "real world", natural painting. Just like Dreams, where some things and feelings are blurred and symbolic, while other's are hyper-detailedp, exceeding our perception in real world. Even the title goes from natural letters, through fuzzed something, into arcane symbols (also inspire by other part of Sandman serie).

While I clearly lack even tenth parts of talent presented here by such individuals as Creativetone or wooorm, I'm very satisfied with resulting image and accidentaly inspired concept behind it, to the point of actually sharing it here (as opposed to all my other works, which just don't qualify). Especially for a middle-of-night drawing, done while lying in bed, holding N900 above head ;)
---

I hope that details about creating it were interesting to some, and haven't exceed actual quality of work ;)
