About the pen: I've got - pogo connect - the pressure sensitivity works really well, though I tend to paint without it turned on after procreate got an update and changed the behavior of the brushes when my stylus is connected. I haven't had time or haven't taken me time to figure the new parameters, out as of yet. Before it only reacted on opacity or thickness, either one not both at the same time. Now it seems to react on both at the same time for some brushes, haven't tested that many after the update. The stylus almost only weigh as much as an AAA battery and is working with Bluetooth 4.0 only and with programs using it's SDK. The good thing about the Pogo is that it works in all angels just like in real life. Though it took some time getting use to a fat tip when used to a pinpoint both from real life and on the N900. All in all I'm a happy camper and procreate is top of the line art program. The size is not an issue for me as i'm mostly painting at home, never did work for me when commuting ;) Dousan... e: really nice scrap you added above @Tone, great ambience in it :) e2: the pogo connect is also very power saving as it runs on Bluetooth 4.0. I really hope that my Nokia N900 last, if not then Apple is really only choice for me because of very vast software and now pressure sensitivity support it have. (yea, i know those android devices and Wacom but..) @SHARP66 - I have not done any serious sculpting "or art" with ZBrush, only some portrait scraps, that is why you do not find any of those on my sites :). I am using ZBrush some small things to help modeling, texturing etc tasks. with LightWave. I try to learn it more and more it is very powerful program. Keep painting guys what ever device you are using, I am using even paper and pencil a lot nowadays. |

@Tone I hope it lasts a long time to come. You might go for the Samsung ativ smart pc. A hybrid running windows 8 but with the ability to run windows 7 programs (desktop). So Mypaint should be installable on it and it has Wacom digitizer build in for pressure sensitivity (1024). The only thing might be drivers so it works with Mypaint? I saw a list on what worked with Mypaint and pressure and even Wacom cintiq 24 HD didn't work with Mypaint and pressure. Further more the Samsung it to expensive, though with a larger screen plus other goodies. You could also install blend and open office etc. on that. I also from time to time use paper, mostly with a ball point pen, I really like that combo :) Dousan... |

hm, i have many paintings and drawings when are not computer art but traditional (temperas, pastels, sprays...and so, on the wood, walls, canvas and paper)

Not to be shameless or anything, but has anyone here signed up on Sketchport yet?
Here's just one example of what can be done. http://www.sketchport.com/drawing/1160014/durr If you click on Watch Video, you can download or view how the entire drawing was made. If you don't like drawing alone or would like to mix it up a bit, you can even draw with someone else there. Also, I'm somewhat curious if that site will work on your tablets since it doesn't seem to like the Flash Player on my N800 device. :( |

Had a look at it and as I'm drawing on my iPad this wont work for me (no flash duhh ;)), so no sign up from my side ;)
There's an app for iOS devices (maybe it's also available for android?) called brushes that does the same thing. Record your drawing as a film while you draw and you can share it on youtube etc. or just watch it yourself. @Addison - I have not yet signed up to the Sketchport. It looks interesting and maybe I try it. ArtGrounds.com is also good place if you do not want to draw alone, it also support Wacom tablets pressure.

I take you mean the pencil one. Yes it's more interesting and a better take on the character. I need to doodle around some more with it. I've written close to two chapters of my children's book. The intro chapter and a following story (which is not finished yet). It will be 6-7 short stories in the end with illustrations to compliment the txt. I'm trying out different styles with my drawing and getting to know procreate better in the same time as that's how I'm gonna illustrate it. I think I'll end up with color in some form. 'The evil Pujamin' is one of the stories ;) Dousan... |
