Um, I'd like it fixed on the 770. Yes, I can dream. :) Why not make a new bug for os2007/n800 and just mention that in a comment on the two aforementioned bugs?

Larry - I think new bugs for OS 2007 would be a better option. Remember there are votes on the existing bugs and the people who voted did so for 770/OS 2006, not OS 2007.

You could also look upon OS 2006 as the current lowest common denominator and that any enhancement applied to OS 2006/770 should also be applied to later versions of the OS/device (unless specified otherwise), however the opposite isn't necessarily true. For example would Nokia add A2DP to 770 without also adding it to N800 - no, unlikely. Would Nokia add A2DP to N800 without adding it to 770 - yes, quite possibly.

The two statements are somewhat contradictory. The latter being true, it ensues that it is best for everyone, whatever they currently own and use, to vote "en masse" for the 770 bugs :-)

I'm always bewildered when I see postings about "voting" on a bug.. I haven't seen any 'vote' button in bugzilla, and I also fail to understand why a bug has to be voted on in the first place.. feature requests maybe, but bugs are either accepted or rejected, not voted on generally.

In the case of enhancement requests, registering the enhancement against the lowest common denominator device may very well be the best course of action to ensure the enhancement is implemented for all possible devices.

Alternatively, we raise enhancements against specific devices and then suffer the complaints of users when the same enhancement isn't implemented across the board.

It's not a button, it's a hypertext link located immediately above the "Additional Comments" text input field. Voting for a bug is a mechanism that allows users to provide feedback without spamming the bug with "me too" comments.
