hi, friends, i boght a new n900 u.s edition,
and i am not able to connect it with pc-suite
as it showing non-compatible usb mode
so, any one can help me how to install

Nokia has not released a fully compatable pc suite yet. There is one in the works that a few people have signed up to be Beta testers but no timeframe yet.

You don't need pc-suite for installing applications, they can be installed directly from the application manager in your n900. You need pc-suite e.g. for using your n900 as a gprs modem for your laptop. Did you install the new version of pc-suite before trying to connect to your pc (doesn't work with all of the old versions)?

Btw, you can download apps also from the sites maemo.org/downloads/Maemo5/ and maemo.nokia.com/maemo-select/

no, i dont have 3G sim or any other network in my phone,
i juat want to download in my pc and i will transfer everyting to my phone

OK, I see. The easiest way still is probably to find an available wifi connection somewhere and use that to download the applications.

You can download .deb files which are Debian packaged installation files to your PC, copy them to your phone with usb cable and run them to install.

BUT, if the program you are trying to install has dependencies, you will have to 1st install the dependencies in the same manner, and if the dependencies have dependencies.... Rinse and Repeat.
