Yes, you just need to copy application-menu.desktop file from /usr/share/applications/hildon-navigator/ to statusbar dir in /usr/share/applications.

I would like that. I like neat packages with all the working stuff in one place. And having it as part of the Community SSU makes me feel like my n8x0's current state isn't so hacked together. Though the changes are awesome!

Hi Kroll,

for me the bigest disadvantage is the inability to use the a-gps program provided by nokia.
Also when I install diablo 5 theme + the telescope task switcher, my films begin to choke. I coud not identify which one is actually eating my precious cpu cycles, but I'm betting on telescope, than the theme.

I have no idea why a-gps doesn't show the map (i suspect you are talking about this issue), I checked the background with map - it is still on the right place with correct name. I don't know why a-gps doesn't use it. But if you have already chose your location this issue doesn't apply to you, does it? Anyway you can put the mark according your coordinate (it shows the coordinate on the bottom).

Telescope doesn't use the cpu as it inactive. So I really doubt its fault. If you want you can ask Mitrandir (the Telescope creator) about it.

Hey Kroll, Diablo5 theme is really good, but, I have some considerations:

- Do you know about the LED Notification issue? I don't know if you guys are fighting against this, but i was. Every mail, call or chat message i have to imagine "who/what/where" and this s*cks. I've made some changes to /etc/mce/mce.ini to disable Chat, E-mail and Call notifications using the LED. All others stay the same.

I have had similar issues since this post in the MediaBox Thread

Since the integration of Telescope & Diablo5, I play my videos on the base unmodified Flash boot....:( instead of the SD Boot.

...What are you playing your films in?: Canola2, MediBox, MPlayer....

I have noticed recently that some videos (podcasts ) play sort of OK when played in MediaBox with the GStreamer backend VS the MPLayer backend... :confused: ... before, the MPlayer Backend seemed to be the best . :confused:

That's bad. But i really was not able to reproduce the issue.

Technicaly, Telescope actually adds its hook which is fired every time any drawing was made on the screen. But this not includes video playback, because XVideo draws its picture on the screen in very specific way.
And i had always played video using MPlayer and didn't had any issues with performance...

May be if you can upload some video fragment which causes the issue on your device and detailed instruction how to reproduce the issue, this might help me to see it on my device...

I haven't got any problems with video as well using MPlayer.
tuliobaars, it is ridicules: you can just turn off LED indication of Mail in Control Panel - Screen. :)

Yeah, thanks. BUT, my intention with this file is to avoid disabling things we don't want to disable. For Example, the "Other Notifications". If we simply disable it from Control Panel, we lose some notifications (obviously). Anyway, for me worked better than simply disabling it.

Mitrandir, yes you are right, it is neither telescope nor diablo5 that caused video choked. I'm not sure what it was, but its gone now (after reflash) and I cannot reproduce it.

Don't know about the reflash part... but my video issue seems to have cleared up too. :D:confused:

However, Music playback (in MediaBox) seems to max out cpu.?.

playback is ok but track switching / screen update is very slow:(

As for video sample: *small mp4 of the techzilla podcast the opening banner would stutter and then the audio would be out of sync.

*using the MPlayer backend in MediaBox.

Mediabox 2010.10.17 (latest devel version) was very sluggish and buggy for me so I downgraded back to 2010.09.11. Are you using the -devel version?

I executed this code in root mode, after uninstall Diablo5 theme (only theme) but it not worked.

The error message:
dpkg: error processing libhildondesktop0_2.0.18-1fix1mtr_armel.deb (--install):
cannot acess archive: no such file or directory

I have the repos Mitrandir's and Extra-Devel active

Here you should download libhildondesktop0 libhildonwm0 hildon-desktop files on your tablet, run terminal, go to the directory you used to save files and run Code I posted above.

I just loaded this theme and it is great but how do you get applet icons on the desktop beyond what is in Home-Select Applets? I only have the ability to select a few of the default icons. I tried to find the answer in this thread but with 40 pages it's taking forever and a search on icons didn't get me an answer. Thanks

First, this is really good job for OS2008, and it is so beatiful.But when I used it, there is a problem.
I install the scim and the menu button or home button( I don't know what it is) shift left, I reinstall the theme and reboot again and again, it also can not be solved, could you tell me how to fix it? I really would not reflash the system, thanks a lot.
