Hey.

Oh thatīs fast. :D

Good to know. First patches than theme.
Too late for me but it was easy to fix.
So you canīt change the size of the staus bar on-the-fly in a running system?

Yes, I did it to see how it looks like with a bar.
I can change your three pictures (qgn_plat_application_status_bar_background.png for 7, 9 and 10 icons) if you want. :cool:

Re: [Announce]: Diablo5 Theme (By Kroll}

Mark, as you said you need to replace .pngs and change theme.xml if you wantto change the size of statusbar. So you can do it manually or you can reinstall theme and it will make it by itself instead of you.

There is not necessary to do it, I can do it by myself. Thanks.

Re: [Announce]: Diablo5 Theme (By Kroll}

@kroll

Just updated telescope & diablo5 (extra-devel) looking awesome!

Am I supposed to have "home_" between the 3 dots @ the left side of task bar and the first applets?

Also, the "Home" menu items have changed to "home_me_select_applets" etc. I this something I can fix?

Thanks

Sno

Seems like broken locale :(
Could you please post the output of following command:
Code:

find /usr/share/locale | grep maemo-af-desktop

Re: [Announce]: Diablo5 Theme (By Kroll}

Is there any way to get a notifier, for, e.g., chat requests? With the current theme, I can't tell who has sent a chat from the home page.

I really like the layout of the theme otherwise.

Re: [Announce]: Diablo5 Theme (By Kroll}

Aaahh, notifications of chats and emails are in my todo list for a half of year...

These debs must be installed from command line as root, like this:
Code:

dpkg -i libhildondesktop0_2.0.18-1fix1mtr_armel.deb libhildonwm0_2.0.18-1fix1mtr_armel.deb hildon-desktop_2.0.18-1fix1mtr_armel.deb
I don't think that graphical Application Manager will be so kind to install them ;)

Hey Mitrandir.

Your app works like a charm. :D
I use it in combination with Krollīs theme.

And you can use the application manager. Simply switch on Red Pill mode.
I did it that way. ;)

Re: [Announce]: Diablo5 Theme (By Kroll}

Installed the latest and all works well with 10 applets. I do miss the "prev" button.

edit:
Added a window switcher button to the left of the close button.
just add this to theme.xml as root (see in screenshot where to add):

Code:

  <button x="-200" y="0" w="100" h="50" action="prev" >
    <active pixmap="titlebarclosebuttonpressed" />
    <inactive pixmap="titlebarclosebutton"/>
  </button>

http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/8...eenshot93a.png

It's not pretty but functional.

Received Diablo5 update today but during install quits and says Unable to install.
Through terminal checked and it says it needs telescope-applet and quits.

Remove the Launcher package. Diablo5 0.8 will install Telescope 2.0 that already includes the Launcher

random question, how do i fix that localepurge issue?

Mitrandir 2010-10-22 03:25

Re: [Announce]: Diablo5 Theme (By Kroll}

I'm not sure that localepurge is the problem. But Launcher definetely is, because there is conflict on /usr/lib/hildon-desktop/liblaunchersbapplet.so.

Try to run localepurge from terminal

Unfortunately, i cannot test this, as i will not have access to my N810 for a week. Could anybody with N8x0 test if localepurge produces same error on their tablet?

Anyway, try to remove launcher and do apt-get -f install

I've been enojying Diablo5/Telescope with good results for a while and have the latest updates installed. But today my N800 froze while I was browsing a website, and I had to reboot to regain control. Now my desktop looks like this, with the status bar pushed off to the left side.

Any tips on an easy fix for this?

Re: [Announce]: Diablo5 Theme (By Kroll}

Have you installed patched hildon-desktop before diablo5? If yes, how many statusbar applets have you selected while installing diablo5?

I did not remove switcher icon from theme pack so if you will use this piece of code you will have nice switcher button instead of two close buttons.

Code:

<button x="position_here" y="0" w="80" h="50" action="prev">
<active pixmap="titlebarminimizebuttonpressed"/>
<inactive pixmap="titlebarminimizebutton"/>
</button>

Yep you're right. I just looked back over the last posts and saw that this is the new look.

Funny thing is; I have rebooted after each update, and I still had the full-size menu icon on the left side until that last forced reboot.

So, anyway. Nevermind.

Oh, yeah...that Google search applet had to go...:o

I saw that the icon is there but I spelled minimize with "s" (minimise) and had a crash desktop loop. Changed the icon and it still looks funny but it works.

Correct, but there is a place for them now. Would you like to adopt these packages for the community SSU?

Mgamerz 2010-10-28 16:45

Re: [Announce]: Diablo5 Theme (By Kroll}

This really needs a way of using notifications. Having to use the built-in home button (bottom left on other themes) in the statusbar is still insanely annoying. This or telescope needs to fix this, otherwise this just disables use of an essential feature of maemo.

The 6 blue squares in statusbar open the application menu or do you also want the navigator bar that runs down the left side and shows running apps?

silvermountain 2010-11-02 02:27

Re: [Announce]: Diablo5 Theme (By Kroll}

One thing that I've noticed is that the little 'circle' you use for selecting desktop applets is SO far to the left that only about 1/3 of it is visible.
It that on my side only or a known issue?
