help *still* needed! device wont turn on :(
 

hello ,
i just reboot my n900 and it just wont turn on again ( the battery was full )
when i try to turn it on I get the Nokia logo backlit, and the indicator light illuminates, ( I get no flashing dots ) then fades. The screen goes dark and it stay off .
i tried to remove the battery then replace it again several times , i tried to turn it on while it charging from wall charger ( not usb cable ) but it seems nothing works . :(
Any clues what I need to do? :confused:

What did you do to the device recently. Did you overclock it? install apps from the extra devel repo?

Look up the re-flashing thread on here and try to reflash your device.

i connected the device to my computer to transfer some songs and videos to it , after i unplugged the usb cable the files manger didnt open ( it just stucks and takes me to the desktop ) so i rebooted my n900 , and it wont turn on now :(
and i cant reflash it coz i got 64bit system and the flasher wont work on such system...

Strange! do you see the files that you transferred too the device when N900 is off and usb plugged in? don't do a reflash yet!

when i plugg the usb cable in it keeps vibrating and the coputer doesnt recognize it at all . and when i press "u" and plugg it in i can see the nokia logo and the usb symbol at the top right corner but the computer still cant recognize it .

Turned off device and plugged in the usb then the N900 will vibrate and not stop?

And what if you reboot your pc and try again and plug in usb to N900?

no it vibrate 1 time ( like the normal vibration when u conntect it to the computer ) and like 10 seconds later it vibrate again and so on.
ill try to reboot my puter and ill let u know if it works after rebooting .

i restarted my puter and it still the same it doesnt recognize it .

Some kind of reboot loop i think, strange behavior...
Did the N900 had any flaws lately? what did you install after the last successfull boot?

Does it have the same behavior when usb not plugged in?

press power button and leave your device for 5 minutes.
