Downgrading from leaked pr1.2
 

Hi all
I was very bold and did the update.
Update was very nice and liked the protrait mode thing the best (for web). For some bizarre reason I wanted to go back to latest official release.
Well, long story short - the sim icon was showing next to the clock. I tried practically all the firmwares out there but it just wouldn't go away. I ended up trying the leaked firmware again and it worked!

Just incase anyone is going to put the leaked one on just to 'try' it. DONT!
Has anyone found a way of downgrading with no problems?

... I don't really understand what you said but I dont think anyone has been able to downgrade.

Hello!

Did you try to reflash both eMMC content and OS(PR 1.1.1)?

Just an idea from me, I am staying with PR 1.1.1.

Sorry - was a bit ecstatic when i wrote that.
Can't even remember why I wanted to down grade. Think it was that even though qt4.7 or whatever it is was supposed to come with it, it didn't. Still can't get anything that was written in said package because of dependencies.

I didn't reflash the eMMC. I really don't fancy having to send over all my music and a ton of music videos all over again!

Welcome to two weeks ago :)

Upgrading to leaked RC of PR1.2 and then downgrading will disable the cellular modem (firmware of modem gets upgraded in the process, and it becomes inaccessible from PR 1.1.1). There are a few procedures to get back cellular capabilities on PR1.1.1...you can search for them in this forum. I have no idea how well they work, since I've not tried the upgrade, so YMMV....

This is worse than treble dutch lol and WHY do you say DONT! ? many many many people have flashed the leaked fw including me with absolutely NO problems whatsoever so why not just leave it as it is WORKING lol and do the official upgrade when it eventually (this year i hope ha ha ha) arrives.

He just wanted to share something he have concerns about with the community. Where is the problem with that?
Maybe his post prevents someone of having some problems...
Also you don't know if you will be able to update from the leaked one to the official one without some more hassle.

Flash the FIASCO 1.1.1 image and flash the CMT from 1.2.

I went through this process a few days ago. Everything works just fine back in PR1.1.1-ville.

I would suggest trying this.
