Knots2
hello everyone!
I'm very sorry if my thread is repeated but I couldn't find a solution to my problem with knots2 and thought of asking here and might get some help :) I've installed VLC and followed all the isntructions for the installation (although they're kinda confusing me a bit) but I got to a point after I run the server and configure it.. then it say try to add the files so I can access them from my N900 the problem is that I either dunno how to do that or that I can't do it, because I've tried and nothing seems reasonable to me. please help me I'm so excited to use this amazing software and that I can be able to watch movies without transferring them to my phone. thank you |

Also make sure it says "VLC running: true" under "Status" tab before you try to play anything. Moderators could merge this message into the main thread. |

some problem occured and the server doesn't work any more I tried deleting it and re-installing it twice, but it still doesn't connect anymore.. I used start server then configure it to upload the page and almost everything was good except of how to add the files, but now the server doesn't even work I dunno what to do :( |

Re: Knots2
I dunno if this could be a problem from the localhost.1978 webpage
my browser keeps detecting this problem, the source or the remote device won't accept the connection. |
Re: Knots2
Right, make sure the server isn't running already, open task manager and check that there's no ruby.exe and vlc.exe running and if there is, kill them and try starting and configuring it again.
EDIT: And you didn't by any chance enable ssl which means you need to change the address to https://localhost:1978? |
Re: Knots2
finally it's working now... it's connected and the VLC is true
now I don't know how to choose the directory that has my videos or music, I have them in a folder on my desktop |
