took N900 out of my pocked and I can't switch it on anymore?
 

hi,

today i took the N900 out of my pocket and tried to switch it on, but it doesn't.
the last thing i did was swapping the battery by another one which was loaded. for that I switched my phone off and, after swapping the battery, i turned it on again. something i've done several times before.

2 hours later i used the lock switch on the bottom and nothing happened. So I tried to open the keyboard and the camera... still nothing. then i swapped the battery again for another... nothing.
finally i used a USB cable to load the mobile.... still nothing.

any ideas?

does it work in update mode?
press and hold U insert the usb cable and plug it into the computer?

Dare I ask.. what happens when you hold the power button? Notification light change at all?

remove battery, plug into pc via usb cable..

does it do anything (vibrate? flash screen or led?)

ok, to be fair, that is what mine does.. with the cable still plugged in, what happens if you put the battery back in?

Just go RMA ( Return merchandise authorization ) process.

try to put the battery in the freezer for about 5mins. it works if the problem was caused by overheating battery.

Isn't it bad to give the thread such an incredibly misleading name?

You phone didn't die on you because you took it out of your pocket. It died because you regularly change batteries and happened to insert one that caused the problem.

Out of curiosity: Why change batteries like this? Does it take too long to charge it while it's in the phone? Are you always on the move so that it's impossible to connect your phone to a charger from time to time?
