Reflashing the firmware help

I think im going to reflash my N900s firmware
The web browser is completely screwed, it wont load any page & i've tried everything i can find, but to no avail

The thing is i dont want to lose all my apps, setting, pics, etc i have on the phone

Is there a way of doing a backup of things before i reflash so i can put them back on the phone?

blah blah, explanations, explanations.....

you just didn't manage to open the manual?

what user experience do you need? if manual says that xx, yy and zz will be backupped, how does the situation change with peoples experiences??

Re: Reflashing the firmware help

well, per requests here you go:

open file manager with your device
go to path:
1. n900 -> documents -> user guides -> choose your language and tap it.

2. scroll a bit, there is this cryptic "Back up and restore data" -title

3. ....

and the hardest part: maemo wiki

i am not being a jerk. the guy didn't even read the manual. he just spent 20 seconds of his time to write the post and then he just waits until someone spoonfeeds him and changes diapers afterwards.

Re: Reflashing the firmware help

"hi, i read the manual for backup things and I was wondering that how well are the application settings kept when backupped and reflashed? are my pictures and notebook entries safe? what about conboy?"

"what about losing all stuff at the big n900 partition? doesn't reflash empty it completely?"

"can I get installed apps reinstalled after reflash from backup?"

I would have answered to those questions without a problem.
