[Maemo 5] AIMS web site: Can any browser can handle this web page?
 

Because of my job i need to access to AIMS web page (www.aims.aero) but unfortunately I can't with any browser.
I used Firefox Mobile, Opera 10 Mobile and N900 internal browser with no success.


I see that when is the time to get the call to an exe program it stuck. The call is done to an executable called "wtouch.exe"

Here is an example of the link I get to log in the AIMS web page:

At that point it get stuck!

I tried with Firefox Mobile, with Opera 10 Mobile, and Nokia N900 browser.
No way to get in it!!

Any suggestion??

don´t knew if this will help you, but you can install chrome ... some websites worked for me better than anywhere -.-

becasue that site (am assuming you mean it wont let you click the check in button) calls an application which starts up your email clients, but only seems to run on windows (very badly designed website in my opinion

so by my reckoning the site wont work on a linux desktop either

Any airline have a specific address as I linked in the post.

I don't need to click on that page I just go directly to the "private" link that call wtouch.exe program to show the interactive page where we can see rosters and live data.

I agree with you.
The web site is really badly designed and optimized.
The bad thing is that all my Iphone user colleagues have access to that page!! That make me really upset since I don't want to buy an Iphone. I don't like it!

There might be an ipone version of the page if it works for iphone users. Try changing your user agent to an iphone, and see if that works.

is there an user agent plug-in for firefox mobile? I do have in normal firefox and can't find for mobile.

The link you posted is for windows only due to the "wtouch.exe". Is there a link given to iphone users? As they won't run windows applications, hence they must use a different method to get in.

Edit: If they have a different link, then you may not need to change the useragent.

i dont have problem getting page to load ??? of course i dont have any log on or i am not fimilar with the website at all but it loads fine for me using n900 stock browser

Guys... maybe giving you the AIMS web site address was not a good idea.

AIMS is a company that provide us the service.
So accessing to the web site is useless and it was just to tell you which company does the software for us.

To gain access to our personal web portal you have to go to a "private" link.

Here you can see what is the correct link to get access to the web portal:

http://aims.etihad.ae/wtouch/wtouch.exe

In my company portal when I connect from my PC using Firfox and User Agent Switcher to Default it appear this link:

https://access.mycompany.com/my.logon.php3?check=1

When I use instead the User Agent Switcher setting up as Iphone 3.0 something disappear and the mask is more simple.

https://access.mycompany.com/my.logon.php3

trying the http://aims.etihad.ae/wtouch/wtouch.exe with User Agent Switcher on Default and Iphone3 give me the same result since I can't log in (is not my company).
