Have the same problem with the Nokia N900 headphones. With other headphones it works.

A workaround for this problem is to put an extension cable between your headphones and the N900.

I test another Nokia N900's headphone in my phone, that work correctly:eek::eek:, so the problem is in my headphone!:o
