No need. Just download the firmware and flash it. I did it this morning. It was very quick and easy, and no worries about root filesystem space.

All your contacts, music, photos and videos are stored in eMMC (MyDocs), There is no need to reflash eMMC to get PR1.2.

Backup your contacts, apps, settings and everything. If you want to be safe, copy the Backups folder to a PC.
