Question 1: I have the North American Firmware and it did not want to accept the ttf-bpg-georgian-fonts or the ttf-khmeros. I was able to change Language & Region to Arabic but not there is no on-screen Arabic keyboard. Any ideas?
Question 2: When I switch to Arabic and keep Regional Settings to U.S the Ovi maps spin forever and will not work. Has anyone reported that?

I resolved the Arabic uKeyboard issue, may need help with OVI when System setting is set to Arabic.

There is some issue with Thai keys.
When I press the backspace key and get out of the keyboard UI, the words scrambled!
All I need to do is start typing again. That's terrible...
Wish you to fix this bug.

But anyway, a little trick to stop the scramble is:
- when wrong typing done, slide the hardware keyboard out to hide virtual keyboard
- select the wrong words or phases
- press the hardware backspace key
- return the hardware keyboard, call the vitual one and start typing again...

Can someone point me where can I find .def file for ru-windows.vkb keyboard compiled for N900 to make Ukrainian from it?

Ok, Ukrainian is there in version 2.4-5, I really appreciate it.
But there is one bug in my case:

i use persian layout and just updated ukeyboard. now virtual keyboard is not showing anywhere. what's the problem??

Virtual keyboard has different settings from hardware one. Try to set it again in Settings -> Text Input
