You can send the form ask for support up to $100 000 if you have some interesting idea for project running under Flash 10.1 Guess who is the ONLY sponsor beside Adobe NOKIA And this is what I can't understand really no matter how hard I'm trying. Anyone has good conspiracy theory? |
Re: Flash video playback problems with pr 1.2
Well I managed to recreate the situation. Started video playing on a well known "jiggly" site. Stopped at 1% as people have reported. Left video on for say 2 mins - went and did something else. Came back clicked video again and it started playing. So its not that it CANT play - its something else screwy.
Should point out that from what I could see the speed of playback was very good. Cant tell you if its better than 1.1 as I hadn't gone to the site previously. |

Re: Flash video playback problems with pr 1.2
For Fudges sake - lets keep on topic. This is about issues and finding a solution. Start an offtopic thread if you want to discuss conspiracies etc. I swear there are more Hijackings here than on a terrorists vacation.

Re: Flash video playback problems with pr 1.2
Ok Kids - I have the issue sorted out for the "jiggly" site most of you seem to be having an issue with. The problem isnt the video its the ads on the side of the screen. They are flash - the video itself wont begin playing until those ads are loaded. This appears to be something to do with the way that the browser in 1.2 loads pages. Previously I imagine that the page was loaded on a first come first served basis. Now however it seems as if the flash wont begin playing until all the content on the page is loaded.
My advice - be patient - or install an ad blocking host file (don't use adblocker because it causes problems with some pages in 1.2) |
Re: Flash video playback problems with pr 1.2
I can confirm that after pr1.2 ota update I'm not able to see a lot of flash videos on different sites that are running flash 9. so this is not flash 10 issue. youtube works just fine.
would like to have an app that will scan the flv content on the page and allow open it in a rich player, not within html page. maybe the reason to issue is browser and not flash stuff? what do you think? |
Re: Flash video playback problems with pr 1.2
So back to my original assumption - thanks everyone for having a think about this.
I've yet to bugzilla this - does anyone feel confident to post an error report? Quote:

Re: Flash video playback problems with pr 1.2
Whatever work around you can find it will not change the fact that Flash 9 performance is lower than was under PR 1.1. End of story.
You can try blockers, different browsers, overclock N900 but will not solve the core issue that exist for sure. |
