I did upgrade the N800 to the latest firmware and DID NOT installed anything from the backups and DID NOT installed anything new.

I left the N800 to charge the battery and the machine started self turning on.

Seems that only happens when the N800 is plugged to the battery charger, has not happened while unplugged. Can someone else confirm this behavior as well?

Opening a trouble ticket may be a good idea now. Anyway, still waiting for some fix from Nokia.

I have figured out a couple more things since last time and i would like to share them with you. :)

1) This self power up happens (in my case) only when connected to the power (i.e. charging).
2) The device would start-up again at exactly 10 minutes. If it was again turned off it would start after exactly 10 minutes from the last start-up! (this is important)
3) I have searched what I have that runs automatically every 10 minutes and voila! the "mnotifier" (which btw should be called gmail notifier or similar, in my opinion since it's only working with gmail).
4) In the next step, I have changed the "check for new mails" to 5 minutes and now the device (N800) is starting-up on its own every 5 minutes!

5) Un-installed the mnotifier and the problem is solved. :)

What's going on??? I couldn't figure out the restart pattern. It keeps turning itself on. I uninstalled mnotifier. Any advice?
