I can't understand the disconnect we're having here....lol. I just don't think it's a good idea to go into too much detail, because all Wells Fargo needs to know from us are the basic particulars-- their website developers will now better than anyone what's likely at fault and what they can do to fix it. All I offered was my *opinion*. People are of course free to do as they please! sigh... it was meant to be such a simple thread... :o |
Re: attention Wells Fargo customers
I too have this problem with WF. It is quite frustrating to have to go to someone else's computer to check my bank account.
They are detecting browser type and rejecting all but a few browsers. Does anyone know what Opera sends as a browser identifier? That is all the programmers would probably need to know. But I imagine that the "policy" is set at the top and little can be done short of using a proxy to disguise which browser you are using. Bruce |

But if they're using technology that the N800's browser can't support, then it goes beyond browser identification. On the 770 I recall using the setting that sends a fake ID (I can't find this setting on the N800) such as Internet Explorer, but that still didn't help. Again, their IT guys should be able to figure it out.
