The real reason is that on the iPhone there's competition. Rovio competes with other game developers. Hence all the 99 cent apps you see on iPhone. While on the N900 there's not much competition hence they can charge what they would normally charge. |

Anyway the levels are cheap. It is not like anyone's wallet will be hurt by a few US$. |
Re: Waiting for Angry Birds Level Pack 2
True it is a gamble. But if your porting a game over you take less of a risk (probably why all the games we've seen so far that have been released or in development) are ports of iPhone games.

Let's remain on topic! Any news regarding the progress of the new version and level packs on OVI?

Re: Waiting for Angry Birds Level Pack 2
Another thing that 'motivates' competitiveness on the iPhone side is that you get plenty (PLENTY!!) of free marketing when you're doing well. The list of 'top sellers' are displayed prominently in the front page of the app store and there are LOADS of 3rd party sites/blogs that cover these movements which garner further traffic and sales to the product.
If I'm not mistaken, Angry Birds have been selling amazingly well and it's been hovering in the all time Top 10 for quite sometime.. |
Re: Waiting for Angry Birds Level Pack 2
How much should we wait the new version of Angry Birds and the new level packs?

Re: Waiting for Angry Birds Level Pack 2
The store says it's v1.3.4, but if you install it, it says it's still 1.1.0 :/
