When I did use it, it was more than likely to summon someone with a proper camera (via email) to record an event such as property damage, etc.; or to show what tools were required. On the N800 this feature shows promise in that someone who carries one could record a spur of the moment event that could affect an events outcome. (think Rodney King). Baby steps I suppose... Perhaps this feature can promote additional apps such as streaming motion from the device. The small file size may make it easy to email other, MMS enabled mobile devices as well. :) |
Re: New "Camera" out Issue
I suppose, I just wish Nokia would have chosen a better camera for the device, seems so stupid and no firmware upgrade or patch will improve the quality unless I find away to hack the device and edit the file like I did on my Sony ericsson W800i, I increased the quality by 20% and video quality runned at a higher frame rate. For some reason the manufacturers always set the JPEG compression too high which gives off too much over exposure and noise.
The one thing I would like to see happen in the next release of the camera app is the ability to change the white balance, as to me it is too warm and the saturation is set too high which also decreases the quality. |
Re: New "Camera" out Issue
I'm suprised you say you hardly used your camera, do you know what type of lense it was?
These are photos with just a regular 2 mp camera phone with sometimes macro mode on http://www.esato.com/phonephotos/index.php?toplist=yes Like I always say, "It's not what you got, it's how you use it" ;) |
