OMWeather, Email widget and Calendar widget. Though the last two are ridiculously big.

FeedingIt! This is a great app/widget, and gets regular updates.

My two other favourites are:

Calendar Home Widget (an excellent improvement on the standard calendar widget), and

Desktop Command Execution Widget (very useful and flexible).

I really must take a closer look at Queen BeeCon too.

I gotta say "Desktop Photo Applet" as No1

That was one of the first things I installed after setting up my APNs

World Clock Widget
GPE Calendar
MyContacts (only a shortcut, I know)
Foreca Weather.

Pedometer! I walk a lot, 4km to work and back each day, so I love using this widget. Not to mention it is completely functional from the widget itself, from current/day/weekly/all time stats etc.

Very very handy, and accurate enough for my needs.

QTMO Strange Threads Widget. Beware though, it takes up almost 3 of 4 desktops.

Actually i'm surprised noone came up with a customizable "TMO Active Topics Widget" yet, similar to the Facebook one.
Maybe life is better without it.

Hmm the winners seem to be OM Weather and Calendar........

yipeee, who said the n900 had no apps !!!!

Calendar........willl this sync up with my Ubuntu system calendar and Evolution email client ???? or is it just a standalone calendar on the phone ???

From the "fun widgets" i got a say the World Cup Widget from Pelota is great. TuneWiki is good too.

What is this? Couldn't find any reference to this. Is this a widget called "Strange Threads" or you are talking about all the widgets recommended on this thread?

I use two screens,

First screen i have contacts and shortcuts, IP address widget and media player widget.

Second screen i have a comic stripe widget, and apple remote (yes i have a macbook, but its mainly used at parties when someone puts on music i dont like, i just freaking turn it off!)
