Bad skype quality N900 -> Linux Skype after a while

Hi , is anyone experimenting terrible quality when making a call to a linux skype ? The people in the other side can hear me perfectly but after a while i can barely hear it ... The sound starts crackling ... And the only solution is hang up and call again ...
I initially tought it could be some related to the wireless power save , so i disabled and still have the same problem.
I dont have windows skype users on my list so i can not test to them.
I mentioned skype for linux because since i saw no other complaints maybe it is specific for linux ... (Since video call for example does not work with linux clients)

Can't say I have. Did a 30 minute video call to my brother a few days ago and it was exceptional.

Here is another one blaming 1.2 update but it seems there were more decoding cpu cycles available for voice decoding, before the update.
my skype cuts out a lot more lately than ever befor.

It's probably more related to the network than the OS the clients are running on.

both networks are 1Mb/512kb DSL . I made the test with no other programs using network.

Yeah, because your line is connected straight to his, eh? There's nobody in between you, and the very nature of the internet is not to be highly dynamic...

Obviously, you're also constantly maxing out your 1Mb line, as soon as you ask it to.

ok , let me rephrase it ... If i use the same connection from my laptop , the skype talk is flawless...

I think you are right , after overclock to 750Mhz everything seems to work just fine ... still testing to see if it is a coincidence...

Suffering from terrible voice quality (video off) with calls to Windows Skype. If I make the same call from a PC on the same wireless network, quality is fine. (Human calls seem to suffer a lot more than the echo service.)

Echo service and Mobile Operator service both crackling for me.
