Very frustrated but i've jus re-read a couple of posts on here about sandisk 4gb cards which mine is. I guess thats the problem but all the install went fine and it is trying to boot. Hope your having a good holiday steve by the way and not getting too bogged down with all thus stuff. Im going to Benidorm with the family next week and just wanted Droid to play with while sunbathing.. |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic
best bet is reextract everything from scratch. start by installing 0.0.5-4 then move to 0.0.6

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic
Guys,
I wish to run both Easy Deb & NITDroid off the SD Card. I got the SD Card partioned into 3. mmcblk1p1 approx 3.3gb NITDroid (fat32) mmcblk1p2 approx 1.8gb NITDroid (ext3) mmcblk1p3 approx 2.4gb Allocated for Easy Debian (ext2) I reflashed both FIASCO & eMMC and then installed NITDroid, is installed and working perfectly on a clean slate. I am now trying to install Easy Debian and looks to all be ok except it wish to install on the mmcblk1p1 (NITDroid). I don't wish for it to be on NITDroid's allocated partition, what should I do. Do I change and make NITDroid the mmcblk1p3? Do I make the mmcblk1p3 also fat32 and if so will it still try and load on mmcblk1p1 as it is the first partition? I understand this is more about installing Easy Deb though don't wish to destroy my NITDroid install. |

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated
Igot the flying world nitdroid and last multiboot, but didn't install nitdroid kernel 2.6.28-05. the wierd part that i got only nitdroid in multiboot menu and it doesn't work(probably because of that kernel, cause it even didn't try). after some seach found about "b" key and booted to maemo, it worked but at the beggining i saw "time and location" settings and they got to default(WTF?). after that i did install of kernel and rebooted once more, now nitdroid starts to boot but fails(flashes to fast so can't read the error). and as well i can't boot to maemo, i have some errors i barely can read(too fast) about some modules and in the end i get:
E: videoep: xcb connect failed several times and it does nothing for awhile and than i get Starting PyMaemo optification and it do nothing for hours =\ |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated
reboot zogg usually fixes that
|
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated
Hey dj_steve!
LOVE your work! love the fact that youve enabled 3d acceleration !! one last thing that pisses me off..is the OS usability the framerate isnt half as good as the other phones!(ex opening menu, scrolling left and right in the menu) are you fixing that soon? |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated
I have multiboot installed and i can boot omap1, power37 and NITdroid without problems. My gratitude to the developers for that.
However i would like to auto load the module bq27x00_battery when i boot titans power37. I think that: Code:
echo bq27x00_battery >> /etc/modulesCode:
modprobe bq27x00_batteryThere is a modules.boot.example file in /etc that is part of multiboot package. I have tried to create a /etc/modules.boot file with: Code:
#Can anyone help with this issue? Thanks |

After selecting item @ boot menu it loads some stuff, then screen gets cleared and top left shows "_" -mark and keyboard lights stays on. Only thing that helps is to take battery out. I can boot to Maemo. |

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated
i've reinstalled nitdroid a few times, but every time i get the error that text2screen isn't found. is there an solution for this?
|
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated
I'm gettings the text2screen error too.
|
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated
if you're getting the text to screen error, n900 is not seeing the android files. Make sure you have the back cover closed as sd card wont mount without it. If it is then chances are the files are not on the sd card (or correct partition. Remount mmcblk1p2 in maemo to /and and check the files are there.
|
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated
checked a lot of times. the file isn't there.
no errors when I decompress the file but I can't see the file in the tar: http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/3...0073120232.png |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated
its hard to work out what is where from that pic. mount the sd card to /and in terminal and post the output when you
Code:
cd /and |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated
here's my output
Code:
/and $ ls -la sbin/ |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated
hmmm, that all looks fine. Think it must be a bad download. try redownloading the rootfs, wipe the partition and extract again.

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Help/Tutorial Topic - Updated
Maybe I misunderstood, but I've read that Nitdroid runs with CPU always at 100% load @ 600mhz. Seems very unhealthy, and not exactly good for battery life either.
Is it true, and if so, why isn't solving that the top priority of the developers? |
