It might seem shocking to think that is possible, but once you've learned all the hard lessons it's easier to not screw up down the line. On top of that, it's really a matter of how stable it is once released commercially which is still a while away.

You really are not in a position to say that about MeeGo!

The next release is expected on 30th June and it will be the first release of the mobile UX.

Until it is released and people start using it ther is no way we can predict the state of th ui.

My expectations will be basic functionality, maybe a few apps and a few crashes here and there - like most first releases.

Even then I'm still excited about it.

I was never referring to the coming drop in June! That for sure will not be mature and stable. However it will be entirely open source (unlike Maemo) and Nokia will hopefully have learned something from Maemo with respect to responsiveness. Hopefully. And if not we'll at least have the sources so that bugs can be found and fixed.

I think we should devise a sub-forum here where debates are scored and every users gain statistics from every fight/rumbles/gangbang they participate in, not unlike RPG :D

High level users should be able to kill trolls posting obvious flamebaits with a single smite.

This guy wiped the floor with Maemo OS - threw it to the trashcan and installed mobile world's hottest OS - Android 2.2.

Way to go!

  1. Who cares?
  2. IMO, Maemo is vastly superior to Android.
  3. Why do we need just another thread about it?
  4. Btw, this thread is in the wrong category, it should be in "competitors"
  5. Moderators, could you please delete this thread?

Sure.

I'm glad however and I think I'm not the only one.

Whoa, come see us again when you reach puperty. In the meantime, I suggest you stop being a loser. Otherwise, you'll just continue to be a punching bag. Or is that your thing?

Actually it should be in alternatives (if it still exists)

Hacked N900 blazes through Froyo?

Just saw this at Engadget:

While the various and sundry Android manufacturers are all scrambling (or casually strolling) toward official Android 2.2 updates for their manifold handsets, someone managed to get Google's Froyo running on the Nokia N900. Turns out, the two are a pretty great pair, with some super speedy browsing (like, really fast) and decent hardware support outside of an unfortunate lack of memory card support. Hit up the video after the break to see it in action, the browser starts kicking around the 4:45 mark.

So is this guy in our Community and if so is there somewhere a tutorial this would be really amazing.
