The latest extras-devel version (2.193) allows you to use any font installed to your N900. You can install new fonts to your device without Allah easily following these steps:
- copy any .ttf -font into the root of your internal memory (shown as N900 / MyDocs in windows)
- run this command in terminal:
cp -rf /home/user/MyDocs/*.ttf /home/user/.fonts/

After that the fonts are shown in Plastic Theme Setup if they are latin-fonts (I'm still experiencing other font-locales like chinese and arabic).

Can you see it in other apps? Like notes for example?

Don't know. So far all windows fonts I've tried had worked fine. I'll try Comic Sans at monday (even my eyes starts to bleed every time I see a glimbse of text written in Comic Sans).

That is your n900 protecting you from yourself. Comic sans? Really?

:) I like the font. Anyone knows how to edit fonts? I want to change the dimension of the character.

I have a small suggestion for the color variants like coffee etc. When one goes to the browser, the top bar has the color variant -like coffee; while the bottom- address bar etc is still in black color. Would be great if the bottom bar is of color variant too. It'll be consistent then....

Just heard that .otf -fonts are working on the fly also. Installing procedure is same as with .ttf fonts; just place them under /home/user/.fonts/ and you're fine.

Just to let you guys know.
