Official support that lasts longer than a year? I hate to be a snarky bastard; but Maemo offers a lot of freedom true enough, but twice in a row, Maemo has been basically dumped before all bugfixes were in place.

well im afraid he has a right to post here, the maemo "Operating System" as it is called is a fking JOKE in EVERY aspect of the word

the n900 fanbois are the WORST ive ever experienced in my life, they are in UTTER denial. the n900 is a FAILURE but some on here (who most btw dont have a fking clue what even open source actually means) think that maemo is actually a USABLE OS PLATFORM......they think they know best...they dont really have a clue......look at me ma, im on top of the world....i can run conky on my phone......................ffs loosers

- No Flash Player 10.1 Support.

there are devices that supports 10.1 before the n900 (i think)

- Video Players (Default, SIB and KMPlayer) not as good as I expected, as it can play many different format of video files but lack of subtitle and audio selection supports.


hmmm....i have not encountered a non-playing video file in kmPlayer unless there is something wrong on the way i convert or download or transfer the video.

- For game, most game emulators are running slow, dos box also has the same problem.

normal to see, its not a game device

- Camera quality is not good as too much noise for night shot.

i agree, so that is why i have a separate camera

- No Meego OS support from Nokia.

- Phone function is not good to use.

phone function? like what? i have small hands, that is my problem in phone functionality of the n900.

Well, you have to admit that hearing the same message trumpeted so often by so many people, over and over again gets a little grating on the nerves.

Whoa there.. I almost started sounding like one of them legendary Nokia apologists! OK, I'll come back by adding: It probably means Nokia needs to read Maemo's forums. I know! CRAZY TALK.
