[Announce] GNOME Network Tools 2.22.0 port
Quote:
Not a lot of changes to the source but I had to 'replace' some tools that are part of busybox. The package is completely safe to install. Had to package the following, if anyone is going to use them: whois, finger, netstat and ping. The package replace the symlinks to busybox, in order to provide working ones, the symlinks will be restored on uninstallation. Traceroute does not currently work, even though it's packaged, I'll look into it soon. Hope some of you find this useful :) http://i47.tinypic.com/673v9l.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/fz5bnp.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/2j5luuu.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/291hpup.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/w2ocpz.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/11c8saq.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/258tt2h.jpg |

Like that? I guess it's the missing theme files... I keep forgetting about those Easiest solution is to install easy-deb-chroot, I'll ask qole if he could package the theme separately for other packages to use it. |
Re: [Announce] GNOME Network Tools 2.22.0 port
yep like that
whats easy-deb-choot? are u planing on updating it so the theme is there or? |

Packaging separately though would mean annoying who wants to install it will have conflicts with easy-deb-chroot, which is maintained by qole. easy-deb-chroot is Easy Debian, it allows you to run a full chroot'd image of Debian without rebooting your device, thus allowing all applications on debian (arm) to run on the N900. |

Edit, @ mokkey, it's just a port of http://packages.debian.org/lenny/gnome-nettool I guess the best way to learn is to check examples, books proved to be quite boring for me. |
