Finally I made it.
I replaced hildon.menu from the path above with this one with the help of cuteexplorer and it worked like a charm

I had the same problem, did the same thing and everything worked fine...
BUT
When I tried to rearrange icons in menu it got back to the old, damaged/ missing icons one.. And had to do this again..

So everything is fine but I cannot rearrange icons ever..
Unless somebody helps ;)

One more problem - I have installed categorise now.. And it deas not work.. :-/
Something is screwed bad..
Any ideas?

Works great ,try replacing hildon.menu with openssh server !!!

How to install the file linked in his post (http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...2&postcount=45) from xterminal?

It is not possible to ssh into my N900. WhenI do that it says : connect to host ***.***.0.*** port 22: Connection refused

As no application is working i can't open any app in my n900.
i had installed openssh in my nokia n900 but how to use it to remove
config file for mymenu.

How to replace hildon.menu file at following location /etc/xdg/menus/hildon.menu
with my new hildon.menu file in MyDocs
plz provide me with detailed command on terminal ,as im new to it in
