I don't get a HQ button on http://m.youtube.com

I can play the videos but the quality is at a very low quality, I bet this is just a adjustment so that the android and iphone users get the same "experience"

If the Diablo media player is being launched using file associations, then presumably DBus Switchboard could be used to point 3gp to mplayer. Haven't tried it, though.

it's because the new site uses html5 and microb has poor html5 support. using one of the webkit browsers may yield a better experience.

I tried this today and the audio/video was very jumpy and skippy. That was over 3g...I should try it on wifi.

I am not happy with performance, but I will give youtube kudos for breaking out of the siloed app-store world and offering a universal mobile client. I'm sure it will get better.

Amen to that. I hope this ridiculous iPod trend of having Apple-specific apps for a website (instead of a mobile version of the site that could benefit other mobile devices) dies a quick death. Interestingly, the influence of Android might help us here.

Anyone care to explain these codecs?
