To be honest, I don't understand the battery usage pattern of the 900 myself. I usually find it performs better once it drops a few percentage points. Like for example, it would drop from 95-85% pretty fast.

PS: Just discovered, the second smartreflex command (echo 1 > /sys/power/sr_vdd2_autocomp) does not work with PR 1.2, it still remains at 0, even if you enable it.

now that made sense:rolleyes:

Can someone report if they have used this device ?

Looks like it's a nice little human powered charger.

The massive drop of 30-35% from 13:00 hrs to 19:00 hrs is when I was driving with sygic on, on a few calls, music playing and some camera stuff, and connected all the time via 2G (no autodisconnect). Remember, I am just talking idle time here, not usage time.

Oh and in the night I did wake up couple of time(s) to check :)

I don't have any custom kernel yet. So, that will be the next step.

do u think switching off the led will save battery to a good xtend?

My greatest problem with batterylife comes from the way I use the device.

I might listen to internet radio ans browse the web at the same time, checking and writing e-mails all the while and this might go on for a couple of hours.

My best solution has too been to carry around an extra battery. I wan't to take everything out of my device!

s33: I think it makes a difference. How much, I don't know. I guess, it depends on how long that LED flashes, for example, in the night it will probably keep flashing through till morning, when I check the mail. Hmm, maybe a small python script to kill that LED after sometime could be a good idea, or maybe we can the LED pattern, I don't know!

I made few tests with that 3g, it really is not that good network standard what comes to energy efficiency. If the data connection is on but passive (no data moving) battery will run out in appr. 15-18 hours. If I use the phone as a bluetooth modem and download at maximum rate (44-48 kt/s) all the time batt wont last any longer than 4-5 hours:rolleyes:

At least it seems possible for you to improve from that 5-7 hours.

Well, yesterday night i've installed Titan's kernel with IDEAL configuration. I know that this configuration has range 500 - 850, but push very hard to the low voltage.

Late in the day i will post the image from Battery Grap for a comparison with the one that i've sent yesterday. Well see.

Another thing that i see is that the kernel configuration have two entry for SMART REFLEX, can i activate it directly from there?

Thanks.

I dont know about that configuration, just wrote those few lines to terminal. VDD1 could be enabled without problem, but with VDD2 phone rebooted straight away so it had to be disabled.

What are those two things actually? Does anyone know?:D

Well, i've just posted an image showing the comparison between standard kernel (left) and Titan's kernel with IDEAL setting (right)

A slightly improvement occured, but i think that lowering the minimum frequency to 250 and activating smart flex on VDD1 the result could be even better.

Tomorrow a new test will come.

@ pfontana77,
I do not know what you have posted to this to topic before but you probably realize that your device is not working as it should if that graph represents your device in idle state (screen off and programs closed)

No titans or any other kernel tweaking or actually any other tweak is going to make things better if your discharge is happening on that state.

Yes, you can ativate those options from there;)
